Post Sports teams/gyms

I will be arriving in SJZ in about a month. I was wondering if there were any recreational sports leagues or teams. At home I play rugby so I was wondering if there was a rugby team but I would join just about any team. I was also wondering if there are any gyms in the city and which ones people recommend. thanks

There are a few soccer teams/leagues, there are tennis courts near the East part of the city, there are lots of places to play pool/snooker, ping-pong, there are swimming pools and you can find lots of gyms. Where will you be living and teaching/studying? I'd recommend that you'd choose a gym based on where you live so that you will make sure that you frequent it.

There's a supermarket near the west part of the city called: Bao Leng Cang can somebody write out what the Chinese is!) There's a gym really close to it and it's new, lots of machines, running treadmills, changing facilities, lockers, clean, good prices (about 850 RMB for a 2 year membership) and convenient. There are a couple of foreigners that go there. It's called: Surmount Fitness Club. http://www.cyjssports.com

I haven't heard of any rugby teams, but it doesn't mean that they don't exist somewhere. Let me know if you find some!
