Does anyone have any recommendations for a Chinese teacher in Shijiazhuang? I am a complete beginner in Chinese but highly motivated to learn the language in a serious fashion.

Hi All,
I was in Shijiazhuang for about a week earlier this month. I deliberately came to Shijiazhuang to practice Mandarin as I normally travel to Beijing from Australia, but too many people can speak English there. I wanted to go somewhere that spoke good Mandarin and was less easy to be lazy on the Mandarin.
Anyway, Maxin (see above post) tutored me for a couple of hours each morning at Starbucks (my choice of venue, the quieter one at Wonder Mall - very friendly staff, worked well). Maxin was awesome. A lovely person and a great teacher. Prior to my arrival I emailed her a few pages of the text I am using to give her a feel for my standard, and then we just chatted in Mandarin, with her asking me questions and me responding, her correcting me, me asking questions etc.
It was fun and my mandarin measurably improved. I was sad I had to move on to Zhengzhou and then home to Australia as I will miss our lessons. I strongly recommend Maxin to people wanting to learn or improve their Mandarin in Shijiazhuang.
Thanks Maxin!
Steve

Hi there,
I also contacted Maxin as I saw her post in this forum. I just can't say anything more than Steve said. I asked her for some help in order to solve some issues that required me to speak chinese. She was awesome, her English is brilliant, she is patient, nice and kind. I don't hesitate about recommending her as a teacher, I am sure you will have great time and learn a lot of mandarin. Thanks a lot Maxin for your help.
Kind regards to everybody,

Herman
